The Michigan Region of the American Red Cross was honored to host Secretary General of the Libyan Red Crescent Marai Aldressi at our blood donation center in Warren and at our Detroit headquarters on Wednesday, July 27. Secretary General Aldressi is in Detroit this week as part of the U.S. State Department’s sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program in which he is participating.
Around the world, the Red Cross and Red Crescent are committed to providing humanitarian relief efforts, which include coordinating disaster relief operations, promoting national disaster preparedness programs and assisting refugees.
